Yixuan Chen (Sam Chen)
Yixuan Chen (Sam Chen) draws, plays piano, cooks, follows Go and makes small web tools. This site is a room that holds all of it: drawings, recordings, dishes, a Go replay and projects such as Chord Atlas, Plexus and Morsel.
On this site
- Home — The front door: a name card and a way in. The same address with a room's hash (/#drawing, /#go) opens the 3D studio there.
- Floor plan — A line drawing of the room seen from its open front, with the five rooms numbered in visiting order.
- Drawing — Drawings: portraits, master studies and sketches in graphite, pen and ink.
- Piano — Recordings of Liszt, Chopin and Rimsky-Korsakov, with the scores.
- Cooking — Dishes and cocktails, placed by cuisine on a map of the world seen from above the North Pole.
- Projects — Chord Atlas, Plexus, Morsel and two small tools.
- Go — A replay of Game 3 of AlphaGo Master vs Ke Jie (Future of Go Summit, 2017).
Projects
- Chord Atlas — Type a jazz chord to hear its voicings, see its overtones and keys, and play the progressions it turns up in.
- Plexus — A source-checked, bilingual map of philosophy, politics, art and religion that traces a route between any two traditions.
- Morsel — A private food journal for what a dish was actually like, synced between phone and computer.
- oci-vcn-cleanup — Shell scripts that batch-delete every VCN and its dependencies in an Oracle Cloud compartment through the OCI CLI.
- HOK-calculator — A farm calculator for Honor of Kings (王者农场计算器).
